Full Q&A along with links and music below.
Are you able to choose a favorite song of all time? Or would you label this an impossible task? If yes, what’s the song? If no, what’s your current Top 3?
My favorite song of all time is ‘Misery Business’ by Paramore. I really like how the song drives. It never gets old. I listen to it almost every day. As a bonus, Hayley Williams is from Mississippi, my home state.
What about this project makes you most proud? Was there a specific goal you were trying to accomplish with this release?
I’m very proud of ‘Problems’ because it’s about a real experience. I can feel the song and the emotions when I sing it. My goal for the song is to express raw emotion and for listeners to hear and feel the same emotions I’m experiencing. Relationships can be challenging. Sometimes you just want to lay it out unfiltered.
What inspires you to create music? What motivates you to keep going?
Writing songs and creating music is my passion. I love it. I’ve been writing songs since I was 10 years old. I see and experience certain things that I want to express as lyrics and melodies and eventually share as a song. I’m motivated to keep writing music because I love it, and I feel like I have a lot of support from family and friends.
If you could collaborate with anyone – dead or alive, famous or unknown – who would it be and why?
If it’s an indie/DIY artist, please include a link so readers can check them out.I would love to collaborate with Avril Lavigne. She creates great music that is fun and driving. I also really
like her style of clothing and her confidence.
What was the last song you listened to? Favorite all-time bands/artists?
Some of my favorite all-time bands/artists include Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Chad Wesley, Olivia Rodrigo, and Beach Bunny. The last song I listened to last was ‘Payphone’ by Maroon 5. I have the song in one of my playlists.
Where is the best place to find you and stay connected?
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Spotify. I do my best to keep these accounts updated.
I appreciate Your time. Want to say or plug any other projects before we part ways?
