Full Q&A along with links and music below.
Where are you from and how do You describe your style of music?
I grew up in Bergen County, NJ. My style of music is alternative pop and has different elements such as Latin and r&b elements.
How did you get here? As in, what inspired or motivated you to take on this journey through music and the music biz?
Growing up in a very supportive musically inclined family really inspired me to pursue a music career. My mom was also a singer and my father also played multiple instruments.
How does your latest project compare/contrast with your previous release(s)? Were you setting out to accomplish anything specific, follow a specific theme, or explore different styles of creation?
My latest project is called “Simple Love” which is a 1950s pop ballad that definitely stands out from my other songs. I have always been infatuated by the 50s era and really wanted to create a song that exemplified that sound mixed in with modern day pop elements. I feel that my generation is really drawn to history especially in music and perhaps listeners will be intrigued by this sound.
Name the biggest challenge you faced as a creative during these unprecedented? How did you adapt?
The biggest challenge was surrounding myself with the right people that could help me and have a positive impact on my career. I have also struggled with self-confidence issues at a young age and it took me sometime to find the confidence within myself to pursue this career.
How have you kept the creative fires burning during all this?
Anytime I feel like I’m burning out creatively, I take a step back and give myself some space. I usually do something that I enjoy and that brings me peace like meditation, hikes, or listening to my favorite tunes.
What was the last song you listened to?
“Trouble” by Elvis Presley was the last song I listened to. I was listening to his music in honor of the anniversary of his passing this past August 16th.
Which do you prefer? Vinyl? 8-tracks? Cassettes? CDs? MP3s? Streaming platforms?
I would prefer streaming platforms since my music is more accessible.
