Full Q&A along with links and music below.
Where are you from and what style of music do you create? (In your own words, not necessarily in marketing terms or by popular genre classifications.)
We’re from Bristol, UK, and we make a strain of indie rock style music, influenced by bands such as Kasabian, The Killers and The Strokes.
What led you down this path of music and what motivates you to keep going?
We purposely make music that is quite big in size, because we want to be playing big live shows. Because as everyone knows, to play big shows, you need big songs. So that’s a main driving force, but also the quest to just keep writing great songs to the highest standard possible.
How is this new release different than previous ones? Were you trying to accomplish anything specific?
So this release came about after consciously trying to write a song that was a little darker sounding than our previous three singles. Many of our songs are in major keys, with big uplifting choruses, so this was an attempt at something a little different and was influenced by bands such as Joy Division, Idles and Bring me The Horizon.
What was the last song you listened to?
‘Heaven’ by Amy Allen.
Which do you prefer? Vinyl? CDs? MP3s?
Vinyl for breakfast. CD’s for lunch and Mp3’s for a snack after dinner.
How about this one…. Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?
I like using both. I use Apple Music on my phone when out and about and Spotify when at home and listening off the computer. I think Spotify is way better for playlists and for discovering new music but Apple Music also have loads of podcasts and interview videos, so its’ good to get a little mix of both.
Where is the best place to connect with you online and discover more music?
