In this interview spotlight, I chat with Andrea Maria Ricchetti about the Inferno release, Top 3 Song picks, dream collabs and more.

Are you able to choose a favorite song of all time? Or would you label this an impossible task? If yes, what’s the song? If no, what’s your current Top 3?
Its so hard to pick just ONE song.. but I think I would go for something by Christina Aguilera or Mariah Carey because they have been, and still are, such a big influence on me as a singer.
I would say AIN’T NO OTHER MAN by Christina aguilera is that song that keeps me moving, that challenges me vocally but it’s actually that kind of song you can play around with the tempo and make it slow and it is such a BIG dedication to love.
Another one that will stay with me forever is LANGUISHING by Mariah Carey which is a deep cut that not many people know of the “memoirs of an imperfect angel” album, and its a short song that puts a dagger in my heart everytime I listen to it and caresses me at the same time making me feel hurt but safe and I often go back to that song whenever I feel left alone.
TEENAGE DREAM by Katy Perry is such an emotional fun song for me , I don’t know what she did with the sound of that song but makes me so nostalgic to the point that I would burst into tears while having a drink on the beach with my friends at nighttime and it also has a very deep meaning shared with someone else .
What about this project makes you most proud? Was there a specific goal you were trying to accomplish with this release?
It took me such long time to figure out what sound I wanted to have , how to use my voice and so many other insecurities that would stop me from releasing music.
But I got to a point where it looked like everything was aligned, I had something to say, I knew what I wanted to be and what sound I wanted to have and the right people around (KLAUS NOIR honestly he helped me to spread my wings and fly).
So I decided to put out music that would make people think, leaving with something to think about when you lay down in bed, and also I wanted to let the world know that singers who can actually sing ARE STILL AROUND!
I know that I might be out of whatever is going viral now , but it seems like singers have to step back and almost feel scared to project and show their real voices, but I have to stay true to my self and use ALL my voice to make people have a good time just because I love the people have fun.
You know I have always had this sense of community, trying to gather people around every time spending time together and sharing thoughts and experiences and my dream would be to gather as many people as possible to grow together to share experiences or fantasies that we all go trough helping each other as a family.
What inspires you to create music? What motivates you to keep going?
I sing 24 h, literally all the time.
I actually didn’t know I could write songs. I honestly thought I was going to sing other people ’s stories, which is amazing because you get to experience what that person was feeling and you can tell that story mixing your feeling with the writer but using your own voice.
But when I first tried to write a song on a type beat ( it was not that good LOL) but it felt so easy and natural and I couldn’t stop writing songs and that’s why I ended up writing almost 300 demos in a very short time.
I feel like I have kept inside my voice and my thoughts for so long that now they are all coming out of me at the same time , like if they were caged up inside of me and now they found a source of release.
And what is funny is that most of the songs that I have written come from my fantasy and imagination and I am sure many people can relate to those stories anyway, and that is just amazing.
If you could collaborate with anyone – dead or alive, famous or unknown – who would it be and why? If it’s an indie/DIY artist, please include a link so readers can check them out.
Well…. Well…. Well…. I would be sweating, sick to my stomach, nervous AF and just shaking if I could get a chance to collaborate with CHRISTINA AGUILERA just because her music spoke to me in a way that truly woke me up and told me to go out there ad speak out loud my own mind and she gave me an excuse to be DIRRTY.
But this song with Christina would be written by THE BEST SONGWRITER ON EARTH, and that is MARIAH CAREY .
I would be in awe if I could get the opportunity to write a song with her, she is just so talented the way she uses words and the melodies she is a perfect blend of the finest music influences that we have experienced so far in music like jazz, hip hop, gospel , and dance.
Jus think about a song written by MARIAH and performed by Christina and me .
I could retire after that
What was the last song you listened to? Favorite all-time bands/artists?
In general I like big singers who like to risk with the voice or looks or just showing their emotions from happiness to sadness going for it 100% straight into it like aretha Franklin, patti labelle, Christina aguilera, Mariah Carey and Katy Perry
But Lately I have been listening to ALEXIA. She is an Italian singer who ruled Europe in the 90s with her music and her powerful voice. I think her song GIMME LOVE was like the first song I have ever listened and I remember I tried to imitate her voice and my sister used to make fun of me because I had this wired voice while singing without knowing it was kinda natural for me .
