Delmer Darion – Haze

“Haze” brings Delmer Darion‘s homemade, densely textured electronica production to a more urgent pop context in a song about the dark, desperate depths of infatuation. Its four to the floor rhythms and tuneful refrains lock it firmly within the scope of dance music, yet its desolate, despairing sentiment, coupled with the choppy, crackled vinyl beat, actively resist. The song’s lyrics variously take inspiration from Matthew Dickman, whose poetry Tom has recently completed his Bachelor’s Degree thesis on.
