Emoticon is a concise track produced by California producer, Alzeus. With music being a main focus in Joey Aich’s life, he doesn’t have the time he once did to always be present with people including close friends. Missing out on vacations for performances or not spending money so he has it for studio sessions, Joey has seen some friendships dwindle. For him, it’s not a negative thing. Embracing his newly busy schedule, he hopes those close to him understand and continue to root for him.
I got the inspiration for the cover art from the first social media outlet that I ever used. It was a game, Habbo Hotel, that I played in the 4th and 5th grade which let you create an avatar, and go to different chat rooms and meet people. My cousin and I would use the browser, Netscape, to get on at his house.”
