Monkey Warhol – Lifeboat
About Lifeboat,
I wrote and recording it in the middle of an intense week for this “Weekly Beats” project I’m doing for all of 2016… everyone has to write, record and share a track once a week for all of 2016. People seemed to respond to this “Lifeboat” track so I tweaked it a tad and here it is from EP2!”
Born in the late-1800s Monkey Warhol began making electronic music of various sorts, tones and timbers in 1978. Inspired by Bob Dylan’s loud and abrasive “Metal Machine Music”, Monkey turned to music as a source of income after failed stints as both a zookeeper and dental hygienist.
When not touring internationally as a DJ, motivational speaker or vacuum cleaner salesman, Monkey earns a living from court ordered paid administration leave. He is hoping to resolve these charges and clear his good name as soon as he stops getting paid for his administration leave.
Regarding medical history, despite a severe reoccurring rash and a couple of questionable boils, Monkey remains relatively healthy. He regularly takes Allegra for seasonal allergies, is slightly Vitamin D deficient and believes strongly in the healing powers of Sarna lotion. When asked if wearing underwear he likes to answer “Depends”. He is 6’1” tall, 1,183 pounds and eats at the Costco food court daily.
Monkey’s favorite author is “Everyone who writes for US Weekly”, his favorite musician is Lynyrd Skynyrd and his favorite Russian ballet dancer is Vaslav Nijinsky. His favorite vacation spot is Duluth and his favorite comic is a three-way tie between Family Circus, Cathy and Calvin & Hobbes.
Monkey lives alone and has a small studio where he produces 3-17 tracks of varying quality daily. When not making music, he is lonely… very very lonely. He is always looking for a friend and promises to “Like” all of your Facebook posts and comment on at least 27% of them.
