Pulse by Newborn
Submitted by EI-PR
(Brooklyn, NY) Hard alt/rock trio Newborn releases the third single, “Pulse,” from their forthcoming debut EP, Broken Virgo, due out February 10, 2015. Self-recording the EP at Grand Street Studios, the Coney-Island natives are forging a path for a new generation of rock lovers with a DIY attitude and mainstream accessibility.
The band found its roots in a high school friendship between Allen James (vocals/guitar) and Eric Ross (bass/vocals) and a love of rock spanning from Metallica to Nirvana, Muse, and beyond. After years of jamming and writing together, the two finally decided to pursue music seriously. Neither one of them wanted to grow up too quickly and live a typical “adult” life, so they deemed their band “Newborn,” which represents the way of looking at life with constant marvel, the way a child does. Blake Suben (drums) joined the band as Ross switched over to bass, and the current line up played their first show in June 2013 and recorded the EP Broken Virgo.
