Seattle progressive future funk/nu disco/synth pop rockers Gumshen have released their new single, with accompanying visuals, Fallacy.
Gumshen deliver a unique, refreshing and quite exciting blend of funky, electro, synth pop despite the darker context of this particular song.
Fallacy tackles the idea, and resulting emotions, of death arriving before we have become what we hope we would have become. Navigating through life on Earth continuously telling ourselves how awesome we are to only realize the cold, hard truth of not really being that awesome at all…

That’s a tough pill to swallow for most but Gumshen manage to deliver such a heavy topic with a sonic lightness that makes digesting it possible. You might even feel the urge to move with the groove or pick up your favorite air instrument before it’s all over.
The video was recorded at the Market Theater in historic Pike Place Market, the location of Seattle’s longest running show called Theater Sports presented by Seattle’s leading improv comedy theatre Unexpected Productions.
