Texas based rockers Good Field have arrived with an epic wall of rock and roll sounds that manages to capture the essence of rock eras from the classic period through the distinct and familiar vibes of ’90s indie rock onto the more refreshing and experimental sounds that can be attributed to a band not afraid to push their creativity and song crafting skills to the limits.
Surface Tension is the name of their new album and it is quite the exciting, enticing, engaging rock and roll experience.
Consisting of Paul Price (guitar, vox), Michael McLeod (bass), Kyle Robertson (keys) and Esteban Cruz (drums), Good Field is overflowing with masterful musical talent.
Paul has played in Voxtrot, Brazos and The Early Tapes. He has also had a hand in developing records, as a session player, for Public Hi-Fi, King Electric Recordings, Estuary, Cacophony and 5th Street Studios. Michael McLeod also plays in The Deer and has created music for films by Richard Linklater. Kyle Robertson has composed for Grey’s Anatomy, The Olympics and several film and television stations. Esteban Cruz also played in Brazos and The Early Tapes and is responsible for all the band’s artwork.
Taking this very impressive, collective portfolio into consideration, it becomes quite apparent that Good Field is a band that stands out from the crowd. The magic they create during their writing and recording retreats in remote Texas locations is a testament to the band’s undeniable chemistry and their powerful synergy.
