Texas based Bluegrass, Alt-Country, Americana outfit Free Willy recently released their latest project Remember The Alamo.
After years of writing songs, W.B. Jones decided it was time to finally get on with some recording business and release these sounds to music listeners around the world. W.B.’s vision included creating what he calls the Free Willy Sound where lead instruments play over each other instead of taking turns during breaks as well as spicing up his arrangements with lead breaks even while vocals were in full swing.
The result is a foot stompin’, knee slappin’ and never dull blend of Texas flavored bluegrass, country and Americana styles. Behind the “Free Willy sound” are veteran musicians Jim Taylor (producer, bass, harmony), W.B. Jones (rhythm guitar, lead vox), Spence Peppard (lead guitar, drums, harmony), Kevin Carter (fiddle, mandolin) and Steve DeVries (banjo, harmonica).
For fans of good ole fashion bluegrass with plenty of creative flair, Remember The Alamo and it’s twelve songs will be a welcome addition to your music collection as well as the perfect playlist next time you’re gathered with family and friends enjoying a cool night’s breeze around the fire.
Remember The Alamo is available on CD Baby and Spotify.
