NYC based musician and artist Fred Argir has dedicated over 30 years of his life to playing, performing and creating music. In the spirit of the DIY ethos, Fred also plays every instrument on his albums with the exception of live drums.
I often say that I need to write music, as a form of therapy,” Argir says, when asked about his work ethic. “if I didn’t have a studio to work in, I would record music to my cell phone. I would find a way to do it.”
Fred Argir speaking on his work ethic
Born in Minnesota, Fred was raised in a musical family and is very familiar with the struggles and challenges faced by creatives after watching his father progress through his own artistic career. Influenced by and having dabbled in a multitude of musical styles, Fred’s music is an amalgamation of those various influences with a strong foundation in guitar driven rock.
The lead single, I Don’t Feel It, comes packed with electrifying, soaring guitar solos, a solid rock and roll rhythm which locks tightly with the bass and enough passion to have you reaching for your air guitar in order to jam along. You can expect more of this rock goodness throughout the 14-tracks included on the full length album.
