Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter, Dan Pallotta, is sharing “Winnebago Dreams,” his first new release since 2022’s American Pictures LP. The fiddle and vocal-harmony laden folk tune paints evocative imagery of the open road and the trips that Pallotta’s family would go on during his childhood.
Sounding liberated and at peace, Pallotta enlisted Soozie Tryrell of E Street Band fame on fiddle, and Tony Garnier, music director for Bob Dylan, to join him on bass to complete the song’s instrumentation.
Conjuring up the world of the song, Pallotta expresses that “Winnebago Dreams” is about “every couple’s dream of one day exiting the rat race and spending time together on the road seeing the country and enjoying one another’s company, with nowhere to go and no place to be. No schedules, no commitments, just the open road, a delicious diner and an ice cream cone.”
