Considering Blake English is native to South Georgia and Tori Lund to Los Angeles, one would not expect these creative minds to come together to form a southern-infused country rock group. However, the two met while playing music in a L.A. church. With a shared love of country music, they began writing and recording together with the intent of shopping songs to other artists.
After the songs kept flowing, the two realized they were building quite the catalog. Eventually they brought together more musicians and Few Miles South was formed. Now in the deep South with their 3 dogs, Blake (multi-instrumentlist, producer) and Tori (classically trained singer, piano teacher) are focused on creating the best country-infused music they possibly can.
Their new EP, Might Could, is packed with 5 tracks of pure sonic delight. Well crafted and well produced singles consistently deliver that high quality, radio-ready sound you’d expect from similar artists currently sitting on the charts. Few Miles South belongs on playlists right next to those more well-known acts.
Backed by a top-notch team of musicians, Few Miles South’s EP features pedal steel work from renowned guitarist Bob “Boo” Bernstein who has worked with Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakam and Tanya Tucker. Only separated by a few degrees from these country music legends, it’s obvious why Might Could is such a great sounding country record.
Get ready to stomp your feet, slap your knee and feel the down home country vibes!
