The Eugene Tyler Band has been on the road for the past two years delivering pure roots rock energy and exceptionally crafted songs to audiences in clubs, breweries, farmers markets and even curbside.
The latest album Young Randy, only available on vinyl (for now), captures the essence and energy of the band’s live show, their undeniable musical chemistry and their ability to craft memorable and timeless songs ranging from mellow, reflective, finger-pickin’ ballads to all out, in-your-face, foot stompin’, gritty Americana.
Songs like Birds build into anthems you could hear large crowds singing in venues or at festivals as well as jammin’ loud and proud on radio stations and popular playlists focused on the roots rock genres.
Even The Dog is an uplifting jam with a delightful melody and humorous hook…
Even the dog thinks you’re an asshole…”
Rattlesnake conjures up desert rock vibes causing me to think of Nick Cave, Jim Morrison and soundtracks from movies like Natural Born Killers.
Good Moon will have you stompin’ your feet, solo’n on your air guitar and hitting repeat for another round with it’s seamless blend of radio-ready, melodic verses and the all out wall of sound that delivers the hook and energetic breakdown.
Every song on this 11 track album stands on it’s own as a solid single but they all come together to form a cohesive piece of work which feels a lot like the Eugene Tyler Band’s live show might feel like if I were to attend one.
