Rose returns with the thought provoking song “Don’t Quit” as the first single from his upcoming LP Ja’Mar Walker’s Album (#JWA). Produced by Ronin and Ethik, “Don’t Quit” starts with an upbeat melody but quickly shifts to a more futuristic boom bap type of sound where Rose paints the picture of life being a constant struggle that you just can’t give up on. Lefty uses his experiences as an independent artist to relate to the average man having doubts about whatever difficulties he may be facing. At the end of the day, the message is simple; Can’t stop. Don’t Quit.
A mainstay in the Northern California and Nevada Hiphop scenes for over a decade, Rose has five albums to his credit including his well received 2010 LP, Dope Pusher. He has shared the stage with such artists as Jay Electronica, Hieroglyphics and Living Legends among others. Lefty is a two-time Reno Hiphop Award winner, a Sacramento Area Music Award (Sammie) nominee and 2009 URB Next 1000 Artist.
