New York’s famous Dog Society got together recently to celebrate an anniversary and put together a live EP in the process. They sent it over to me and really got my attention, so I thought I’d make an introduction for our readers. Over the next week or so, we hope to hear a lot more from Dog Society, till then soak your eardrums a bit, I think you’ll enjoy!
The members of Dog Society met at SIR rehearsal studios in New York City in late January and wanted to document this acoustic rehearsal to commemorate and celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first release on EastWest/ Atlantic Records entitled “Test Your Own Eyes”. What you hear is LIVE.
Formed by New York City natives Bruce Erik Brauer (guitar), Guerzon (Bass) and Joe Ranieri (Drums + Percussion). Dog Society found the ultimate mouth-piece in Colorado based vocalist Brian Schnaak. With a sound that rivals anything considered innovative in rock music at the moment. Dog Society blasted through Test Your Own Eyes, their Atlantic Records / EastWest debut with a refreshing style and sound that established them an identity of their own.
Interviews and reviews coming soon!
