Baltimore, Maryland native DannyDosha grew up with a Hip Hop producing uncle and a cousin who worked as a mix engineer. By age 9 he was making Hip Hop records in the family studio.
With influences ranging from the days of vinyl records up through the digitized (CD-quality) sounds of Biggie and Nas in the 1990s, DannyDosha has been influenced and impacted by a very wide range of styles. Seven years ago he began teaching himself guitar while studying jazz, blues and rock n roll more in-depth. His wide range of knowledge and experience with these various styles guarantees that Danny’s music travels in a lane all its own.
Kelsey 2, part two in a series, pays admiration and respect to the musical mind of Cello player Kelsey Lu.
Driven by a distorted guitar progression and passionate but sparse vocals, Kelsey 2 begins minimal but slowly builds up into a more intense experimental rock excursion. As soon as the drums kick in, the song’s energy elevates as the lead guitar comes in with a series of notes that seem (at least to me) to be mimicking the sound of a cello. Groovy!
