NYC based duo Cyborg Asylum have arrived with their impactful new single and visual treatment, My Metallic Dream.
My Metallic Dream combines elements of electro, industrial and post rock resulting in a well balanced, powerful, apocalyptic sound bed which features memorable melodies, a catchy hook, and passionate vocal work.
Cyborg Asylum consists of David Varga and John Tumminia who are both veterans and long time creators, as well as students, of music.
David has produced and scored music for commercials, video games and TV/film. With his classical composer training, Varga is influenced by a wide array of musical styles including Romantic era composers, film scores, industrial rock, electronic and pop. Garnering a few Emmy Awards along the way further proves the depth of David’s skills as an excellent song crafter and producer.
John was singing four part harmony by the age of 4 and was gigging professionally by the time he was 8 years old. Continuing on this path through high school and college, Tumminia has played in bands, with college orchestras and was chosen for the New Jersey all state jazz ensemble. Once in NYC, he became the manager for Electric Lady Recording Studios (yes the one built by Hendrix) which allowed him to mingle and socialize with many important people in the music industry. During his time there he also served as lead vocalist with various acts and on various projects.
Together this experienced, seasoned, and well respected duo create refreshing music with a healthy dose of substance and depth which listeners of industrial, post-rock will truly appreciate.
