Samantha Bouquin is a lot more than your average song crafter. She designs sounds and then uses those sounds to create experimental, ambient, avant garde compositions that dig deep into the soul and cause one’s mind to ponder about the more abstract things in life.
From a family of musicians and trained classically from an early age, Samantha has been a student and explorer of music for nearly all her life. But it’s not enough for her to just play instruments.
No, Samantha is much more creative than that. On top of composing moving pieces of music, she designs her own sounds by altering traditional instruments in imaginative, non-traditional ways. The result, at least for her newest project Contemplations on Solitude and Strings, is a haunting, atmospheric soundscape which slowly seeps its frequencies into your being for a cinematic and rather unique sonic experience.
You can often find her at steampunk conventions where her creativity and unique alterations are put on full display.
Contemplations on Solitude and Strings is a 3 composition EP featuring a fully immersive sonic experience perfect for just sitting back, letting go, and allowing the music to take you away.
