You might not have heard of Common Mama ’til this moment, but…
Milan, Italy’s Ferdinando Arnò is internationally known as a composer and producer. You have probably heard his music without even knowing it.
He has produced and written hits for other artists, composed TV jingles, and scored music for television shows.
If you have seen Acer’s commercial for their new Iconia Tab A500 tablet PC, you have heard Mr. Arnò’s music. His frequencies have also appeared in A Time For Dancing, Letters To Juliet, Generazione Mille Euro, La Prima Cosa Bella, and on the television show One Tree Hill.
His tunes have found success in the advertising industry with features on commercials for BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes, Barilla, Mulino Bianco, Campari, Acer, SKY, Volkswagen, Vodafone, Saab, Ferrero, Fiat, Telecom, and Allianz.
Are you impressed yet?
I got another one for you.
Arnò has a production lab called “quiet, please!” Through this venture he handles approximately 50% (yes I said half) of Italy’s music related business.
I can keep going but let’s get back to Common Mama.

I am really digging this sound. If I were forced to make comparisons, I would have to go with Dave Matthews teaming up with Ray LaMontagne and Paolo Nutini to create an indie folk pop experience for the soul.
Common Mama happened purely by accident. “I felt the need to find a new avenue for a musical and lyrical message,” Arnò recalls. Inspiration struck while watching the final scene of the 1971 cult film Harold and Maude by Hal Ashby.
A New Kind of Something is more than just an album. It is an atmosphere.
You find yourself floating through melodies and charming vocals that carry a sense of encouragement and enlightenment.
Arnò has had jingles featured on so many prime time commercials for a reason. His music resonates with the soul.
Arnò creates compositions that go above and beyond himself to reach a new level of pop appeal that is enchanting and pure.
“I think planning the path of Common Mama would be a mistake. I’d rather let the world define it by showing us the way,” he says pensively.
