Ever wondered what would happen if Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, and Jack White joined forces to form the next bad ass rock band?
I have a feeling it would sound like Cole Hermer and The Ravens.
Cole Hermer has already developed himself as a local legend in the Toronto scene after playing venues such as El Mocambo and the Waterfront Bistro.
He’s received accolades for both his intimate acoustic performances as well as his performances leading his band Cole Hermer and The Ravens.
Cole has also performed at festivals such as Singer/Songwriter Festival Concert Series Durham, Love146 Benefit Concert, Music By The Bay Festival, Ajax on Stage, and Pickering ArtFest.
On top of all that he has also performed on daytime TV for Roger’s Cable Network.
“My philosophy is take every chance you get because it will lead you to an interesting place. I got cast in this reality show about musicians in the Durham region, and that’s where I met Michael,” he says. “He is a big deal; the well-known songwriter-drummer of Glass Tiger. He heard me work with this music group on the show and liked my voice. Out of the blue he offered me chance to do an EP.”
The band’s new EP includes 5 well-crafted songs consisting of all your favorite elements from the genres of rock, metal, and blues. Quoth the Raven is a refreshing visit back to the classic spirit of rock and roll.
Cole Hermer displays musical talent that rock and roll has been missing for quite some time.
