NYC based artist Calvert has provided backup vocals for the likes of Mariah Carey, Harry Connick Jr, Patti Labelle, Shoshana Bean and Gloria Estefan. He is also a member of the Grammy nominated gospel choir Broadway Inspirational Voices; this group was used in The Greatest Showman.
Hold on, I’m not finished yet. Calvert toured the world with The Broadway Boys who debuted in the Top Ten on iTunes, he is an Ovation Award nominee, and a LA Drama Critics Circle Award winner for Best Lead Performance. He also has film credits for P.S. I Love You and The Last 5 Years.
This Beautiful Life, Vol 1 is Calvert‘s debut album as a solo artist and was produced by well known EDM artist Jonathan Mendelsohn, orchestrated by Jamey Ray (creator of Voctave), and he has released two music videos directed by Brad Hammer Productions (Rupaul’s Drag Race/World of Wow).
With a superstar team behind him, This Beautiful Life, Vol 1 is a well crafted, polished EP featuring five songs packed with mass appeal, infectious melodies, memorable hooks and a larger than life sound that lifts your spirits and your mood.
With that said, my day hasn’t really started off that well. However, listening to Calvert‘s debut EP has had an undeniable, positive impact on my mood. Even I do not typically sit around listening to cinematic pop songs, the power of great songwriting, composition and production can not be left unnoticed. This Beautiful Life, Vol 1 has that power.
