BudaRest is a duo out of Venice, Florida that knows how to rock out. With an arsenal of great songs and a unique sound, these singers/songwriters/musicians have it going on.
One thing that immediately stands out is that these guys are having fun doing this. It’s hard for you not to enjoy yourself as you listen.
Here’s “Painfully Juvenile” performed live at the Chalk Festival.
Both well-rounded individuals, there is a list of achievements that proceeded the figurative dip of the toe into the rock ‘n’ roll spectrum, which has become a head first dive. Bringing influences from different forms of expression and influences has crafted an awesome blend of well written music and inspired lyrics ensure to leave you riveted.
Bud Ruckley has a voice that reminds me of Joe Cocker with a touch of Tom Waits at the end. Their songs accent his tone and style with the progressions used. The vocal cake is iced with a sweet layer from Jax Resto’s back-up parts. Bud’s guitar fills the spots between vocals with an melodic, Eric Clapton feel and tone to match while Jax lays down the rhythm on the skins with authority, taste, and grace.
Buda Rest has in down when it comes to writing as well. They’ve proved to be able to do one or more songs a week, though that doesn’t include enough time to get them on tape. At that rate I am sure we’ll be hearing more from this driving duo soon!
