Yesterday, November 22nd, Bill Breeze released his first self-produced record entitled, “I’m The Man”. The song contains several elements from the movie KILL BILL and will be featured on Breeze’s upcoming mixtape, “Ill in the Ville Vol. 1”. Below, Bill breaks down the key elements of the record and how it came into fruition.

As I sat down to begin working on this record, I decided that I wanted to create something very special to me. I hadn’t touched a keyboard in over two years, and had basically given up on music production at the time. When I pulled out the Kill Bill Soundtrack, I was instantly drawn to this particular record called, “Kaifuku Suru Kizu”. The record was played during a very crucial part of the movie in which the Bride visits Hattori Hanzo to pick a katana. That katana was later used to actually kill the main character, Bill. Essentially, this song brought the movie full circle so I felt like it was necessary to sample it for my mixtape. As I chopped the record, I slowly built the drum patterns, breaks, and fills to create my masterpiece. I attempted to create rhyme patterns and lyrics that could cleverly display my multisyllabic delivery with ease. To me, the results are mind blowing and I strongly feel that this is my favorite record to date!
