Astral Cloud Ashes’ alt-rock goodness emanates with a subduing potency from their newest record Too Close To The Noise Floor.
Working with a wide array of mixing engineer experts, Astral Cloud Ashes managed to have so much engineering talent touch this record I’m convinced it’s packed with some type of hypnotic magic that only the gods of frequency would be able to execute.
Too Close To The Noise Floor is a pristine alternative rock record. It just feels good. You crank it up to 13, sit back and just let it flow.
Taking all of this into consideration, Astral Cloud Ashes is the solo project of creative talent Anthony Walker; with the exception of additional vocals by Jason Neil.
Circling back to the array of mixing talent that worked on this record, credits below:
- Gareth [The Fold], at The Fold Studios (London)
- Edd Hartwell, at Soho Studios (London)
- Paul Miles, at Select Studios, Chocolate Factory 2 (London)
- Daniel Szanto, at Music Studios London or MSL (London)
- Antony Walker at Mapley Studios (Jersey)
- The finished Mixes were all brought to Oxford in December 2015 and were Mastered by Tim Turan (Less Than Jake, Gaz Coombes) at Turan Audio.
