Nashville based rockers Arlie deliver a lo-fi, alt-surf-psychedelic jam with their single Didya Think.
Conjuring up nostalgia for classic rock sounds created by The Beatles, The Who, The Beach Boys and more music from a very lovable era of rock, Arlie know how to lay down the grooves and jam out with style.
After spending multiple summers living as frugally as possible, Didya Think is a representation and release of the frustrations experienced by maintaining this lifestyle without accomplishing the end goal of creating more music.
I wrote “Didya Think” in playful response to that burnt out frustration. It was a message to myself in that period of my life, although it’s just as relevant now. It took me about 3 days on my laptop to make the demo. The next morning when I went for a walk and put on headphones to test my mix, it was the first time I’d ever listened back to one of my own songs and thought “I would actually want to listen to this!”
You’ll want to listen to this, too! It’s a great jam with excellent vibes and will fit well into any playlist featuring lo-fi, psychedelic and/or alternative rock songs.
Didya Think is available on Soundcloud or Spotify.
