Toronto singer-songwriter Noah Mroueh, also known as ARK IDENTITY, is revealing a self-reflective and bass-driven collection of introspective indie pop with his debut EP, ANNDALE (November 8th), produced by Philippe Andre.
ANNDALE is a nostalgic look back to where my musical journey began, my childhood home and neighborhood. This collection of tracks is a closing chapter – putting these songs out gives me the freedom to move forward to new sonic landscapes – ARK IDENTITY
Mroueh explores shimmering indie rock (“Screens”), psychedelic guitar effects (“Eyes”), and acoustic-led narrative writing (“Atmosphere”) in this rich and varied exploration into the artist’s past. Named after the street he grew up on, ANNDALE Road in Toronto, Mroueh wrote every song on the EP in the basement of his childhood home.
ANNDALE features “I’m Done Living,” an emotional song full of deep introspection. It’s highlighted by a chilling vocal performance by Mroueh with the right balance of vulnerability and depth. As the final track on the EP, this anthemic closer is bound to inspire a live audience to raise their lighters and cellphones at a live show.
