Toronto based Iranian Canadian pianist and composer Arash Behzadi will make the hairs on your body stand straight, the goosebumps rise uncontrollably, and the depths of your soul come to life while listening to his latest composition The Last Sigh. The visual accompaniment, packed with very powerful imagery, further brings the music to life as it stirs up the depths of your emotional core.
Gaining access to a Balinese cremation ceremony for a member of the royal family, Arash managed to capture some amazing, naturally occurring visuals. If you did not know any better, one would be led to believe Arash might have composed this piece for this specific ceremony.
As we bear witness to a culturally pure, long-standing ceremonial tradition of the Balinese people of the Ubud region of the Indonesian islands, Arash’s arrangement and piano playing spring to life. It’s rare that a piece of music has such a profound impact on my spiritual but Arash manages to touch the listener with an overwhelming barrage of soul-stirring frequencies and sonic textures.
Honestly, this is one of THE best piano pieces I have heard (yet) in 2018. This one is worth repeating time and time again.
