Where are you from and what style of music do you create? (In your own words, not necessarily in marketing terms or by popular genre classifications.)
We’re are based in the great city of Nashville. The only thing consistent about our music is its inconsistency. But considering we’re just a couple of boys playing electric guitars, bass, and drums, let’s call it rock. Sometimes that garage rock, sometimes funk rock, sometimes slacker rock, but always good rock. Maybe we’ll go with “good rock.”
What led you down this path of music and what motivates you to stay the course?
Money. All of us are businessmen by trade and we saw an incredible revenue opportunity in the music scene. We couldn’t afford to pass it up.
How is your new release different than previous ones? Did you set out to accomplish anything specific?
This is our first ever release. We are very excited about this song, mostly because it has introduced a new stream of income for us. The song was written specifically to meet the market needs as discovered by our focus groups. The more you speak to the needs of the market, the more sales you are likely to make. This is just one of many lesson we have learned during our short time as a band so far.
Do you face challenges as an indie musician in a digital age? How has technology helped you (assuming it helps)?
Absolutely! A majority of our marketing budget is spent retouching our band photographs. Our market research also revealed to us that listeners have very high standards when it comes to the physical appearances of musicians. Technological advances such as Instagram photo filters have made reaching this high standard a possibility. Unfortunately, the consultant we hired to choose our Instagram filters is not cheap! So technology has been both a blessing and a curse for us. But there is no denying we wouldn’t be where we are today without it!
Where can we connect with you online and discover more music?
We are HUGE fans of social media! Although they do not directly drive revenue, they are a great way to move fans down our sales funnel!

Anything else before we sign off?
We do have a small favor to ask of any fans we might have made because of this interview. Please play our single, “Hate You Now”, on loop at all times of the day. It is the least you can do to show your support for local music. Thank you!
