Aleš Mav is the one man powerhouse behind the epic wall of sound known as Permanent Moods. Make sure to read our interview with him.
Following up the 2012 debut Surface, Permanent Moods has returned with Entities; 11 songs of progressive, powerful frequencies, ambient synths, driving rhythms, and a sound bigger than life… all emanating from one man.
Entities takes you places. It resonates your soul. It touches on the thoughts and feelings you’ve been holding in the back of your mind. It’s as much a statement of the times as it is the release of a creative entity.
It became apparent immediately upon clicking play that this is a record meant to be played loud. Or maybe the music is just so powerful I couldn’t help but it turn it up. I’m not alone in my judgement; when my soon to be 6 year old son runs into the room to jam out with me, I know it’s good music.
“Radio Lies” is probably my favorite out of the 11 but I can’t just leave it at that. Each song sounds like a well polished single. Aleš poured his all into the record.
“Mrs. Clifford”, “Master Plan”, “Up Against The Wall” and a couple of others really rocked my socks as well.

From the musicianship to the songwriting to the clean mixes and epic production, Entities is everything a great album should be. I also appreciate the lyrical substance and depth of each song.
Permanent Moods has a new fan. Now if you don’t mind, I’d like to stop writing and get back to my air guitar. I just started the record over…
