UK based electronic singer/songwriter Alan Dreezer has spent the majority of his music career working with and collaborating with other musicians and bands. This dedication left Alan’s true passion for synth-pop on the back burner. However, with the release of his London E12 album, Dreezer stepped into solo artist territory.
London E12 is currently available but the focus of this article is on Dreezer’s forthcoming 2020 album Healed and, more importantly, the lead single What You Didn’t Say which becomes available on all digital service providers September 9th, 2019.
What You Didn’t Say is a melodically rich, passionately performed track which dives into the more potent meaning of What You Didn’t Say in the context of love and relationships. As we all have experienced, what isn’t said is often way more potent and impactful than the words we neglect to share with those whom we have grown close.
Using tension and release in the most optimal way, the soundscape to What You Didn’t Say builds in intensity only to gently guide listeners back down to a more calm, soothing space of accepting the unspoken truth, despite the pain. This ebb and flow keeps us engaged through impressive musicianship and excellent song crafting.
I’ve listened to this song many times at this point and I’m still discovering small details I missed during the previous listen. There’s something to be said about that level of attention to sonic detail!
You can preview and Pre-Save What You Didn’t Say before it’s September 19th release date. Until then, look below for previous releases from Alan Dreezer or Connect on Spotify.
