The story of Slow Teeth isn’t one of overnight success or industry hype—it’s a story of three musicians pushing themselves to create something bigger than any of them imagined. Formed in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, during the summer of 2021, the band initially started as a way for Robert Chamberlain (drums, synthesizers), Justin Ellis (bass, vocals, keyboards), and Jeremy Haire (guitar, vocals) to break out of musical stagnation. They soon found themselves shaping a distinct sound, balancing post-rock’s cinematic scope with deeply introspective songwriting.
Their debut album, “I”, out now, is both a culmination of their journey and a bold step forward. Recorded in a historic house, its songs echo with themes of loss, resilience, and reinvention, while the music itself builds towering soundscapes that crash and dissolve like waves.
Their upcoming tour will take them across the country, delivering the raw, immersive energy that has become their hallmark.
