2Four, represented by Juggernaut 24 Entertainment, has never been one to rest long enough to get comfortable in a particular sound. This time around, he has found a lucrative alliance in artist Jim Giordano, aka DJ Majestik. Over the past few months the two have shared both the stage, including their first ever performance together at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville this past March, and the recording studio. What has come out of their collaboration is a four-song EP, Intergalactic. The project was recorded and engineered entirely by Sidney “Super” Nelson in Nashville, TN, 2Four’s hometown.
Juggernaut Entertainment will be issuing a pre-release this Monday, August 18, 2014, one month prior to its official release date, Monday, September 22, 2014. The lead single is the EP’s title track, followed by Lockdown. Both singles are scheduled to have accompanying music videos. Inspired by, and often compared to, Lupe Fiasco, Ludacris, Travis McCoy, and B.O.B., 2Four is often motivated by exploration, enrichment, and creativity. For Intergalactic, 2Four wrote all of the lyrics while DJ Majestik handled the EP’s production, with Lockdown and Way Too Fly featuring North Carolina’s own Charlie Rose. The EP is a departure from 2Four’s past efforts, such as 2013’s Live It Up and So Cool. He continues his mission to experiment and grow as a true artist with a more aggressive, futuristic EDM sound that you’d expect to find on a Will.I.Am record or David Guetta collaboration. His ability to change up his game this quickly and early on in his career illustrates the versatility of his talents.
2Four will be focusing his efforts over the next few months on promoting Intergalactic, however, a full-length album is in the works. Intergalactic is just a preview of what fans can expect from 2Four’s new venture into the world of EDM. While Intergalactic will be available across all major digital distributors, including CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon, it will be available for download directly from 2Four’s own website, www.thereal2four.com for only $3.99. Juggernaut will be merchandising physical copies of the EP for sale during live performances. 2Four’s team is currently building a tour across the Southeast region, with sights set on coordinating a larger tour across U.S. college campuses.
